People In Focus: Paul Searl, National Service Manager

As Aotea Security's National Service Manager, Paul Searl oversees service operations for clients across New Zealand, focusing on keeping people and facilities safe while meeting the unique needs of businesses nationwide.

Paul's career in the security industry started 12 years ago in the UK, where he began as an apprentice and worked his way up to Service and Operations Manager within five years. During this time, he honed his skills in high-security environments that required discretion and professionalism. Since moving to New Zealand, these early experiences have shaped Paul's approach to security, where attention to detail and confidentiality remain prominent in his work.

As a further result of his experience, Paul is a natural when it comes to building strong relationships with clients, staff, and teams. The ability to stay calm and think on his feet under pressure has been key to hitting targets and maintaining safety in demanding situations. While Paul has played a significant role in many high-profile projects, the confidential nature of his work means many of the details still remain under wraps.

Outside the office, Paul coaches two football teams in Te Atatū, which his sons also play for. When he's not working or coaching, Paul also loves getting out and exploring New Zealand with his family.
