The 2021 Aotea Group Conference & AGM In Queenstown

The Aotea Security leadership team attended the Aotea Group 11th Annual Conference & AGM from the 21st through to the 22nd of May in majestic Queenstown. It was a meeting of celebration, acknowledgement and excitement for the next chapter for Aotea Group.

Aotea Security (NZ) Ltd is proudly part of the Aotea Group of companies and is the specialist electronic security arm of the Aotea Group. Each year Aotea Group hold a Conference and AGM that our leadership team attend.

This year, the team from Aotea Electric Queenstown graciously hosted the conference attendees, starting with welcome drinks and dinner at the Skyline Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar. It was the perfect opportunity to come together and reconnect with delicious food and drinks provided by the Skyline team.

On Saturday, everyone split into smaller groups for a day of activities in and around Queenstown. Some of the options included Kjet Boat Tours, Skyline Luge, Golf at Millbrook Resort And Golf Course, Gibbston Valley Winery Tours and a cruise on the Southern Discoveries Spirit of Queenstown. Conference attendees were looked after by some wonderful local businesses that contributed to making the day a huge success, and it was a great day of re-energising.

On Saturday evening, the AGM dinner was held at the Millennium Hotel with a delicious three course menu and a keynote presentation from the incredible Cam Calkoen, who delivered a unique message that inspired us to believe things are possible way beyond our thinking.

During the evening, guests heard from Chairman, Mike Daniels, CEO, Paul Parsons and Former chairman and founder of the modern Aotea Group, Murray Hughes on his incredible journey with Aotea. Paul proudly presented Murray with a custom made piece of artwork by Globemaker, Luke Calder in recognition of his dedication, and service for over 30 years at the announcement of his retirement.

What made this conference so much more special was that it was our first significant get together since COVID and a chance to show off the results of a challenging but successful year in the group's history. It was a fantastic event, thanks to the team at Aotea Electric Queenstown for hosting, and we look forward to next years event.
