It has been an extraordinary and rapid 25 years of progress, and a time to reflect on the growth and transformation that has resulted in the expansion of Aotea Security from its first branch in Dunedin to a nation-wide network of 15 branches across every region of New Zealand.
What better way to celebrate this 25-year anniversary milestone than in Aotea Security's original home, the city of Ōtepoti! Aotea Security (NZ) Ltd is the specialist electronic security arm of the Aotea Group, founded in 1997. This year we celebrate Aotea Security’s 25th year in business shaping our communities, supporting our customers and expanding our team. What began as one branch with a team of 3 in 1997 has risen to stand tall as the largest Electronic Security provider in New Zealand with a team of over 180 people and 15 branches across every region. Over the years, Aotea Security have attained countless achievements and this past year proved to be exceptionally productive for the continued growth and success of our team.
We certainly could not have come this far without the steadfast devotion and hard work of each member of the Aotea Security team. Our people play a vital role in the development of our company. Their dedication and innovative approaches have propelled us forward and we are immensely grateful for their invaluable contributions. Our success story remains incomplete without mention of our partners and customers who have trusted in us to provide value-added services. Their expectations, challenges, and feedback have driven us to push ourselves to do better each day.
To acknowledge this significant milestone, the leadership team came together to celebrate, reflect and build on our guiding vision, mission and values, in true Dunedin form, with a jam-packed agenda. Learning sessions were held at the Forsyth Barr Stadium, with every participant receiving an Ōtepoti themed gift bag and the chance to catchup, reset and acknowledge some really great things happening in and around our business.
Guests were accommodated at the Ebb Hotel and attended a 7-course Degustation meal at the Bracken Restaurant. To ensure that we embraced the Scottish roots of Ōtepoti (and the restaurant) we were piped into Bracken by a piper and witnessed an "Address to the Haggis" during our meal.
We wanted to make sure that this event was the perfect balance of socialising and fun, with a big focus on the business and its people. We know more than ever after the past few years of the pandemic that our people are so important in regard to the culture present at Aotea Security for the work we're able to achieve for our customers.
We are excited for our continued growth as a company and anything else the future may throw at us!
